crochet hooks (or size needed to meet gauge). 1 (1, 1 1/2) yds 3/4" waistband elastic; large safety pin; sewing needle; sewing thread.

Gauge: 19 sts = 4"; 18 rows = 4" (in pattern st). Check your gauge to ensure proper fit.
