All of my how-tos and examples are for right-handed crocheters. My mother was left-handed, and she taught me right-handed, basically by handing me a book after many frustrating hours on her part. Then I pestered her for many hours, questioning what all the abbreviations meant and what a certain word meant. I was very young and didn’t read very well yet. One of the first stitches I learned was the slip stitch (slst or sl st). I created many things with this simple stitch; it’s not just for joining in the round.
Just so you know, these directions are for crocheters in the US. The stitches in the UK have different abbreviations and styles of stitches.
